Inquisitive or Disturbance? :)

January 13, 2010

1:25pmLouie

huh?

1:26pmAKO

magkaiba silang dalawa di ba?

1:27pmLouie

problem solving means the process of finding solutions to a problem, decision-making on the otherhand is the process of choosing among available options

1:28pmLouie

magkaiba sila in the sense that problem solving pertains specifically to solving a problem, whereas, decision-making may be broader, it could be applied to other areas other than problem solving

1:28pmAKO

eh conflict resolution sa decision-making?

1:29pmLouie

decision-making is is simply making up your mind what course of action to undertake

conflict resolution must include the processes siyempre ng decision making

1:38pmAKO

eh ng philosophy sa motto? :)

1:39pmLouie

philosophy and motto may mean the same thing

siguro philosophy encompasses more

means more than a motto

philosophy is a guiding thought or principle to a person or group of persons

1:40pmAKO

d ba ganun din naman yung motto?

1:41pmLouie

motto is statement that one believes in and live by

1:42pmAKO

so pareho lang sila?

1:42pmLouie

motto is what you say in slam books philosphy is what philophers say

hahaha

1:43pmAKO

kasi d ba if motto is wat a person lives by, it is also a guiding principle

1:44pmLouie

Philosophy is the study of general and fundamental problems concerning subjects such as existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind, and language

motto is a phrase meant to formally describe the general motivation or intention of a social group or organization.

1:46pmLouie

so philosophy is more far-reaching and encompasses more than a motto. motto is just a statement

a philosphy may mean a thought of principle that a person or group of persons believes in but it does not necessary be contained in a single statement

1:47pmAKO

eyyy… yung parameter lang ah excluding philosophy as a body of knowledge. d ba pareho silang nagmomotivate for achievement of personal goals? S paanong paraan sila magkaiba as a guide in attaining that goal?

1:48pmLouie

whereas a motto is a specific statement

1:48pmAKO

ah ok..

1:50pmLouie

so a philosophy may be expressed or partly expressed by a motto

1:50pmAKO

ah ok.

1:51pmLouie

philosophy is more of a thought and an attitude towards life rather than just a phrase

however, of course, philosophy is oftentimes express in phrases like mottos

expressed

1:52pmAKO

hehehe. kinorek ang sarili

1:52pmLouie

okay na ba?

1:52pmAKO

ida-digest ko muna. waaaah! Sakit na namn ulo ko

1:54pmLouie

hahaha

3:23pmAKO

d ba magkaiba ang decision-making sa conflict resolution? in wat way?

3:25pmLouie

decision making is simply and generally making decisions, choosing options or a course of action

conflict resolution is resolving conflicts, issues, problems in an organization or company

you can say that decision making may be involved in all areas of management, business, etc

3:27pmAKO

saan ginagamit ang unionism at collective bargaining? sa organizational decision making or conflict resolution?
