writer’s block

 

5 seconds…

            Tic, tac, tic, tac, tic

            Echoes the second hand of the wall clock

            Eating the silence of emptiness

            Of my room, of my mind.

 

5 minutes…

            Staring at the corners of my room

Daydreaming as I face the plain wall

Looking at the window

Peeps the smiling sun to say hello.

 

30 minutes…

            Oh! Sorry said I

            To the pen and paper in front of me

            And the paper got moistened

            A silence broken by melancholy

 

One hour…

            30 minutes more

            Of showing to my best friends

            How lonely and helpless I am

            Unable to hold them

            To make I, paper and pen as one.

 

Should I just say goodbye

FOREVER?
